King Charles welcomes Luxembourg royals over dinner after pausing royal engagements

King Charles welcomed Luxembourg royalty to Windsor Castle for an elegant dinner, marking a significant moment in the ongoing relationship between the British and Luxembourgish royal families.

The Britsh Monarch enjoyed a dinner with Grand Duke Henri, the head of the Luxembourg Royal Family, at his Berkshire residence on Bank Holiday Monday.

Grand Ducal Court’s Instagram account shared photos of the Duke and King Charles smiling brightly in the Grand Corridor at Windsor Castle.

In a shared snap, King Charles sported a smart navy suit complimented with an off-white shirt along with a blue checked tie while the duke donned a black suit and patent shoes.

The caption reads, “During a short stay in England, HRH the Grand Duke was received on Monday by HM King Charles III for a dinner at Windsor Castle.”

To note, that King Charles and Henri are related as distant cousins through King George II and Queen Caroline, who were monarchs of Britain in the mid-1700s.

Their latest engagement came after the Royal Family announced that scheduled events would be postponed due to the Prime Minister's announcement about a general election.
