Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter), is reportedly working on new features to improve user experience.

As per Gadget 360, this key update will let users disable links in replies, a move designed to curb spammy content.

App researcher Nima Owji revealed this feature, which will allow users to block links via a checkbox option.

Meanwhile, Security Researcher Christopher Stanley confirmed the authenticity of this new feature, stating that his team was responsible for its development.

This update is part of X's broader goal to evolve into an "everything app," akin to China’s WeChat, combining messaging, social media, and payments.

In addition to the link-blocking feature, X is exploring a "dislike" button for iOS users to downvote replies and considering an in-app currency for content creators, though these features are still under development.

Last year, X removed the Likes tab for Premium subscribers, with plans to hide it for all users to avoid discouragement from content engagement.
