Jonathan Majors is letting his feelings out over Robert Downey Jr. replacing him as the next Avengers villain!
At the 2024 San Diego Comic Con on July 27, the Marvel Studios introduced Downey Jr., famed for his character Doctor Doom, as the next bad guy for 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday.
During an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, July 30, the iconic Avengers villain was questioned about his feelings over the recent announcement of Downey Jr. casting as the main villain of Marvel Studio’s upcoming movie.
“Yeah, heartbroken,” expressed the actor, adding, “Come on, yeah, of course. I love him. I love Kang.”
Further asked if he would want to get back into the role, the Magazine Dreams actor said, “Hell yeah. ... If that's what the fans want, if that's what Marvel wants, let's roll."
The 2026 movie, which was originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, has been renamed to Avengers: Doomsday after the Oppenheimer actor’s surprise casting announcement.
Majors was dropped from the franchise in December following his lawsuit, when the actor was found guilty of domestic abuse against two women.
