The game of life or death is back AGAIN!
Netflix has finally revealed the release date for the highly anticipated second season of the South Korean drama, Squid Game.
The streaming giant announced on Wednesday, July 31, that Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, December 26, with a track-and-field-inspired teaser.
The teaser clip, which is nearly a minute long, shows a crowded track with men and women running, screaming, and falling. The camera then pans to the Front Man, who says, "It's been three years. Do you want to play a game?"
Netflix also announced that the third and final season of Squid Game will be released in 2025.
The official synopsis of show reads, “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.”
“To end the game, he needs to re-enter it," the synopsis further said.
In addition, series creator, director, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk also shared his own teaser in an open letter to fans, hinting at a fierce clash between Gi-hun and the Front Man in the upcoming season.
Season one of Squid Game is currently available to stream on Netflix.
