Bill & Ted co-stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are set to reunite on Broadway in a new production of Samuel Beckett's iconic play Waiting for Godot.
The show, directed by acclaimed stage director Jamie Lloyd, is scheduled to open at an ATG theater in fall 2025.
Reeves, known for his blockbuster film franchises like John Wick and The Matrix, will make his Broadway debut in the role of Estragon, while Winter will play Vladimir.
The duo, who rose to fame with the Bill & Ted franchise, expressed their excitement about sharing the stage together again.
“We’re incredibly excited to be on stage together and work with the great Jamie Lloyd in one of our favorite plays,” they said in a joint statement on Thursday, August 1.
While Lloyd noted, “It is a real honor to be collaborating with the brilliant Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter on Samuel Beckett’s sublime masterpiece — one of the greatest plays of all time.”
The production marks a new chapter in the long-standing collaboration between Reeves and Winter, who first appeared together in the 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
They went on to star in two more films, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and Bill & Ted Face the Music.
The show is produced by the Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live, and Gavin Kalin Productions, with 101 Productions serving as general manager.
Moreover, Keanu Reeves’s will be soon seen in the Aziz Ansari-directed Good Fortune, while Alex Winter has recently finished production on Adulthood.
