Universal Studios has recently announced its plan to build its first theme park in Europe and they have chosen the UK as the location.
This exciting news has become even more exciting with the announcement that James Bond and Paddington Bear and are expected to be featured as major characters in rides and attractions at the theme park.
As per BBC, Harry Potter-themed attractions are not expected to be included in the park because it is located only 40 minutes away from the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Leavesden, Hertfordshire which already offers a unique Harry Potter experience.
"Warner Bros has the UK rights to Harry Potter attractions. They tried to find a way round it but couldn't. That could change in years to come, though," the source said.
On the other hand, Universal Studios has said on its website that it’s still too early to say for sure what the park will include.
Universal plans to offer unique experiences to its visitors for its new theme park in Bedfordshire, England that are only exclusive to that location.
The new park will also feature themed zones and rides inspired by popular movies and franchises such as Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park and Minions.
The park's layout is already planned, with certain iconic features like the Hill Valley clock from Back to the Future are kept secret.
As per the reports, most rides will be indoor attractions, but rollercoasters based on Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and Minions will be outdoors.
A stunt show inspired by James Bond will also be included, similar to the Bourne Stuntacular in Florida.
Construction for the theme park is planned to begin next year, provided that planning permission is approved.
The source believes the plans are likely to move forward, but since the park won't open until 2031, some of the plans could still be altered in the future.
