Savannah Bee Company has recalled an entire batch of its Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard after knowing the product may have an undeclared wheat and soy, allergy-causing items.

The sauce is sold in a 16-fluid-ounce clear glass bottle with an orange label.

The affected lot numbers carry B1L1360525, with an expiry date of 05/16/27, and UPC 8 50033 93758 9, as per the US The Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

According to the company, the product was available nationwide to stores, distribution centers and consumers.

The recall came after the Honey BBQ Sauce-Sweet received an incorrect label, mentioning the Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard on Honey BBQ Sauce-Sweet. The sweet variety was discovered to have common allergens, including wheat and soy, which wasn’t mentioned on the label.

The unlabelled product could pose a serious threat on anyone’s life, who are allergic to those products.

However, no illnesses have been reported yet.

If you have already purchased the product, all the bottles with batch code B1L1360525 need to be thrown away, as per the Savannah Bee Company.
