Karan Johar is making a comeback on The Traitors.
The Indian filmmaker took to Instagram on Monday, July 27, to spark thrill among fans by announcing his return to The Traitors Season 2 as its host.
“get ready to rise and shine, once again,” he captioned.
Announcing the release date, Johar penned, “#TheTraitorsOnPrime, New Season with New Episode Every Thursday, Aug 13 on @primevideoin.”
In the teaser, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director introduced Munawar Faruqui as the first contestant for the upcoming season, calling him the “king of reality TV, all the way from Nagpada”.
He also welcomed Mallika Sherawat, saying, "She's known for murder," referring to her 2004 film Murder.
“But will she kill in this game too or...?” he added, hinting at the twists and strategy expected on the show.
The upcoming season is set to feature 21 celebrity players in the game of trust and betrayal to win the title.

The Traitors India, also known as The Traitors Hindi, is a Hindi-language reality series broadcast on Prime Video. It is based on the Dutch series De Verraders.
The show’s first season was aired on June 12, 2025, and was hosted by Karan Johar, with Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther winning as the “Innocents.”
