Bollywood actor Suneil Anand, son of legendary star Dev Anand, has passed away at the age of 70.

In an emotional statement from the family, it was shared that Suneil died in London after suffering a heart attack.
Gina Narang, granddaughter of Dev and Suneil's neice announced the heartbreaking news as she requested privacy for the family as they grieve the loss.
"With heavy hearts, our family mourns the passing of Suneil Anand. We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers and support, for which we are truly grateful. We kindly request privacy as we navigate this difficult time together," the statement read.
About Suneil Anand
Born in 1956 to Dev Anand and actor Kalpana Karthik in Zurich, Switzerland, Suneil Anand grew up in one of the most influential families of Bollywood, as his father remained among the most remarkable names of Hindi cinema's golden era, while his mother was known for films including Taxi Driver, House No. 44 and Baazi.

Suneil Anand's Bollywood career
Suneil made his Bollywood debut with his father in the 1984 film Anand Aur Anand after completing his studies in the US.
He studied business administration at American University in Washington, DC.
Suneil went on to star in two more films, Car Thief and Main Tere Liye, the latter opposite Meenakshi Seshadri. However, neither film managed to achieve much success, despite his father's notable legacy.
After stepping away from acting, Suneil tried his hands at filmmaking. He directed and starred in the 2001 martial arts film Master, for which he reportedly trained in Wing Chun in Hong Kong.
He later announced an English-language film titled "Vagator Mixer", set against the backdrop of Goa, though the project remained unreleased.
Suneril then went on to manage his father's production banner, Navketan Films, founded by Dev along with his older brother Chetan Anand and younger brother Vijay Anand, in Mumbai.
Notably, Dev Anand, one of Hindi cinema's most celebrated stars, died in 2011 at the age of 88.
Suneil is survived by his family, who have requested privacy during this difficult time.
