About Quality Control Music

Quality Control Music, also known as Quality Control or QC, is an American hip hop record label founded by Kevin "Coach K" Lee and Pierre "P" Thomas in March 2013.

The company has helped develop major artists including Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Tachty, and City Girls, becoming one of the most influential names in Atlanta hip-hop.

In 2023, Quality Control was acquired by Hybe America, led by Scooter Braun, before his departure as CEO in July 2025.

“P and I are ecstatic about this partnership with Scooter and HYBE and are confident they can get us to our global ambitions we’ve had in our scope since the beginning of the company as nothing means more than our artists impacting worldwide. Over many years, Scooter and I have cultivated real trust and a common way of looking at the world and culture,” Kevin Lee said in a statement.

Financial disclosures revealed that the purchase was roughly $300 million in cash and stock, according to the New York Times.
