Nikitin Dheer has revealed that even after doing a prominent role in Chennai Express, he remained jobless for a year.
Speaking to The Times of India, the actor expressed of having positive hopes from appearing as an impactful villain in a blockbuster movie next to superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
He was anticipating that “life-changing” experiences would come soon because people started recognizing him overnight, making it seem as if his “time has arrived.”
But 11 months passed in a tick, and no filmmaker approached Nikitin with any characters in mind.
“I kept waiting. Didn’t get any offers at all,” he lamented.
Recounting the reasons for not getting cast, the celebrity stated that producers perceived him as someone who is “too tall, too fair, and intimidating because of being well-built.”
He mentioned, “I would just laugh at all these reasons and would just say, ‘okay sir.’ ”
Nikitin then framed a new strategy by signing the reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi, so people would observe his personality and capability instead of looks.
Makers started taking notes, soon welcoming him for Housefull 3, Kanche, and Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha.
Despite majorly altering his looks, currently, the star remains struggling for new offers.
The star was recently cast for Indian Police Force and Shrimad Ramayan, appearing with a much heavier and threatening built than the one seen in Chennai Express.
Before that, he made a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s 2022 movie, Cirkus.
