King Charles and Kate Middleton have developed a closer relationship following their respective cancer diagnoses.
After Kate shared this shocking update on her health with the nation, the King released a public statement, saying, “His Majesty is so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did.”
“Following their time in hospital together, His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law and will continue to offer love and support,” the note added.
As told by Telegraph, the two were admitted to London Clinic at the same time, where King Charles walked over to check up on Kate immediately after being done with an enlarged prostate surgery.
Sources close to the media portal have revealed that he was always fond of his “darling daughter-in-law,” but since they have started leaning on one another with their personal cancer struggles, the bond has further strengthened.
An insider informed, “The two are very close, and he considers Kate the daughter he never had. There is a lot they can discuss at the moment, supporting each other.”
Before this, the King had even traveled all the way from London to Windsor Castle just to confide in the Princess of Wales over a special lunch.
