Kate Middleton, who recently took the world by storm with an empowering yet emotional video message to share the news of her cancer diagnosis, was not joined by her husband Prince William for a very thoughtful reason.

As reported by The Times, a royal source explained why the Prince of Wales did not join his wife Catherine in her emotional message, “This was her as a strong woman sharing an innately strong message to the nation. She didn't need anyone sitting next to her.”

The insider added of the 41-year-old Prince, "He has been supporting her and the family in the background."

Meanwhile, during an exclusive conversation with HELLO! magazine, a royal expert Danielle Stacey explained, "It's understood that the Princess of Wales wrote every single word of her video address so it felt appropriate for Kate to deliver the message to the public solo."

He added, "Those who work closely with the Princess often speak of her inner strength and I think her video message is a huge example of that."

Prince William did not shared the screen with his wife Princess Kate in the video message, but he was praised by Catherine in her statement, who gushed over William for his unwavering support and care throughout her journey.

For the unversed, Kate Middleton is currently going through preventive chemotherapy as she is in early stages of cancer.
