King Charles has changed one of his lifelong food habit during cancer battle upon his beloved wife Queen Camilla’s request.
As reported by The Express, a royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith in her newsletter Royal Extra revealed that Queen Camilla has encouraged the 75-year-old monarch to not skip his midday meal, which he used to neglect before diagnosed with a form of cancer in January.
"Queen Camilla has been doing double duty, representing the King at engagements around Britain and tending to his comfort at home. Not unlike Queen Mary, she keeps a close watch on her husband and knows how to hold the line when necessary,” wrote Sally in her newsletter.
She added, "After decades of skipping midday meals to squeeze more work into his busy days, I am told that King Charles III is now eating lunch."
As previously explained by King Charles former press secretary Julian Payne, Charles adopted the habit of skipping his lunch due to his workaholic nature.
"The King doesn't eat lunch; so, an early lesson I learnt when out on the road with him was to have a big breakfast or bring a few snack bars with you to keep you going,” revealed Julian.
He further explained, "The working day is pretty relentless. Beginning with the radio news headlines and a breakfast of seasonal fruit salad and seeds with tea.”
This update comes King Charles first public appearance with Queen Camilla on Easter Sunday since his cancer diagnosis in January.
