Prince Harry, Meghan’s Archewell BANNED by California State

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation was declared delinquent and banned from raising or spending money

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation has been banned from raising or spending money after it was declared ‘delinquent’ by the California Registry of Charities and Fundraisers.

People Magazine, on May 13, reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s foundation was issued a delinquency notice on May 3 by the Attorney General of California Rob Bonta on behalf of the Registry over a check.

According to the document shared by People, Archewell is now “listed as delinquent with the Registry of Charities and Fundraisers for failing to submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees."

The letter from the Registry of Charities and Fundraisers reads: “An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable fund.”

“The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry. Once you submit the delinquent record(s), you will be notified of the amount of any late fees that are owed,” it further explained.

However, a source close to Harry and Meghan’s Archewell informed the publication that the ‘initial check was sent but not received’ and that they ‘expect the issue to be quickly resolved.’

Archewell sources also shared the foundation was unaware of the failed check and only found out when they received the delinquency notice.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set up the Archewell Foundation in 2020 after stepping away from their royal duties and moving to the US.
