Sydney Sweeney has responded to producer Carol Baum questioning her acting abilities as well as going on to label her as someone who’s “not pretty.”
According to Daily Mail, the actress has broken silence by sympathizing with Baum’s attitude of attacking a fellow woman in the already misogynistic industry instead of standing together.
A representative of hers told the same media portal, “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.”
“If that's what she's learned in her decades and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that's shameful to unjustly disparage a fellow female producer. Speaks volumes about Mrs. Baum’s character,” the undisclosed individual added.
Just yesterday, on April 16, the producer’s negative remarks on Sweeney made in front of a live audience while speaking to Janet Maslin had hurled the internet.
She claimed that the actor was “unwatchable” in the 2023 romcom, Anyone But You, while adding cold judgements on her looks by saying that she not attractive either.
“There's an actress who everybody loves now – Sydney Sweeney. I don't get Sydney Sweeney,” Baum voiced.
