Charlie Puth is thrilled by the acknowledgment he received from Taylor Swift on her new album The Tortured Poet's Department.

On Sunday, Puth reposted Swift’s post expressing her “overwhelmed” reaction to the success of her latest album, in which she mentioned Puth on the title track, suggesting that he should be a bigger artist.

Puth reposted the sixth slide in Swift's carousel post of behind-the-scenes photos she had shared of her making the album, along with her reaction.

The image showed Swift sitting indoors in a recording booth with headphones over her ears.

Written in black marker to the side was, The Tortured Poets Department, referring to the title track in which Puth is mentioned.

In the song released on last Friday, April 19, she playfully teases a past lover about his affection for vintage typewriters.

"You smokеd, then ate seven bars of chocolate / We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist," she sings on the track, making a reference to the See You Again singer.

The 14-time Grammy winner also name-drops the legendary late poet Dylan Thomas and iconic musician/writer Patti Smith on the album.
