As the World Turns alum Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom have parted their ways after a decade-long marriage.
The soap opera stars announced their separation on the Instagram account, they shared in a collaborated post, “Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart.”
“After serious consideration, we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage," McClain, 54, and Lindstrom, 66, continued.
They added, "We remain friends and wish each other every happiness.”
The former couple capped off the post, “As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”
Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom first met in 2010 during their time together on As the World Turns, in which he starred as Craig, and she played Rosanna. They married on Valentine’s Day 2014.
The former twosome garnered nominations for their performance on As the World Turns.
