The internet-famous pet alligator Wally went missing in Georgia while his family was away visiting friends.
According to the New York Post, the owner of the alligator believes he was stolen from a fenced-in yard to prank unsuspecting homeowners.
Joie Henney, owner of Wally, from Jonestown, Pennsylvania shared a tearful plea for help in finding his pet and emotional support animal on the reptile’s TikTok page.
Henny, in a video on Saturday, informed, “Between 4:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., someone came in and stole Wally. He is missing. He was taken out of an enclosure while we were visiting friends in Georgia.”
He appealed while breaking down, “We need all the help we can get to bring my baby back. Please, we need your help.”
‘Wally-gator’s dad’ claimed the 8-year-old reptile is a gentle giant who has never tried to bite anyone and can sense people’s emotions.
Moreover, Wally’s social media pages are filled with videos and photos of people hugging him like a small child, cuddling with him, and even giving him kisses on his snout.
Wally was rescued in 2015 from Florida at the age of 14 months.
Henny adopted him in 2015, and he often brings his pet to kid’s birthday parties and meet-and-greets.
