Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy set to team up to bring magic on screen in 'The Magic Faraway Tree'

Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy have teamed up with director Ben Gregor and screenwriter Simon Farnaby to bring life to Enid Blyton's much loved childrens novel The Magic Faraway Tree.

Garfield, known for his splendid work in movies like The Social Network and The Amazing Spider-Man, will play Tim, while Claire Foy, famed for The Crown, will take on the role of Prolly.

Farnaby, while sharing his views about the casting, said, "To have two actors of the quality of Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy is a dream for any screenwriter." 

He further added, "I have long admired their warmth, wit and lightness of touch." 

The plot of movie revolves around Tim and his wife Prolly with their children Beth, Joe, and Fran, a modern family who relocate to the remote English countryside.

Soon after the family's arrival, the children discover a magical tree.

The Magic Faraway Tree, based on Enid Blyton's novel adapted under the banner of Neal Street Productions, Elysian Film Group and Ashland Hill Media Finance, will start filming in June,2024.
