Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced a big prize money for every player if Pakistan wins the T20 World Cup.

According to the PCB, Naqvi announced on Sunday, May 5, that each player will be awarded $100,000, approximately 28 million rupees, if the Pakistani team wins the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The cricket board chairman made these remarks during his visit to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where the cricket team started the National camp on Saturday.

While expressing the hope that the team would raise the Pakistani flag in the finals, Naqvi noted that prize money held no importance compared to lifting the trophy.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PCB said that Naqvi had a detailed meeting with players and management, and the ‘chairman stayed with the players for two hours.’

Naqvi said, “Play without any pressure and compete vigorously. The victory will be for you, and the defeat will be for me.”

He furthered, “The country has a lot of expectations from you. You have to fulfil them.”

Moreover, Mohsin Naqvi also handed out shirts to the players for achieving milestones.

Mohammad Rizwan was awarded a shirt for completing 3,000 T20 runs, while pacer Naseem Shah was awarded a short for taking 100 T20 wickets.
