After the tragic death of Chance Perdomo, Amazon Prime Video and the producers of Gen V announced that they will not recast the character of Andre Anderson for season 2 in honour of the late actor.

The producers took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce, “As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to respect his memory.”

They further noted, "We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

Chance Perdomo, one of the lead character of The Boys spin off series Gen V, died in a motorcycle accident, at the age of 27, on March 30,2024.

Gen V streamed on Amazon Prime Video in Spetember, 2023.

Chance is also known for his work in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Killed By My Debt, for which he earned BAFTA nominations for best actor in leading role.
