Zendaya has once again proven why she’s the fashion world’s IT girl at the moment!
The 2024 Met Gala co-chair showed how you can stay on theme at the iconic fashion event without it being too in your face.
For this year’s gala, Zendaya chose to ‘reawaken fashion’ for the Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion exhibit in a custom Maison Margiela fishtail gown by John Galliano, a reimagining of a 1999 design from his Dior era, as per Vogue.
As the co-chair this year, Zendaya was one of the first to arrive at the red carpet, and made sure that she turned heads with her look that has left fashion enthusiasts raving.
The Challengers actress, who has returned to the Met Gala red carpet after a five year hiatus, once again teamed up with stylist Law Roach, who, a few days before the event, scared fans by claiming that Zendaya’s Met Gala dress “wasn’t even made yet!”
As it turns out, the dress didn’t need any ‘making’; Law Roach is understood to have sourced the dress from Rita Watnick’s archival store LILY et Cie based in LA.
