Cardi B landed in trouble after referring her Met Gala 2024 designer, Sensen Lii of Windowsen with his ethnicity instead of his name.
The Barbie World songstress was heavily critized for being racist after a video of her from Met Gala 2024 went viral, in which she called her designer 'Asian' when asked about her extravagant gown.
However, amid the backlash, the Up artist posted a video on Instagram to set the record straight, explaining the reason of calling her designer 'Asian'.
In the video, she explained, "First and first, when I was on the red carpet, I was very scared. So, I had a lot of things in my mind, and I was being rushed to the front of the line."
The WAP singer further clarified that she forgot the pronunciation of designer’s name as it is a little complicated.
She noted, “I was like, 'Damn.' How do I pronounce his name? My mind was just racing, so I said Asian designer' because I knew the designer was Asian, but I wasn’t sure what nationality the designer was."
It is pertninent to note, Cardi B deleted her video after some time.
Meanwhile, the Designer Sensen Lii, who was not offended with her remarks and also reposted Cardi's Instagram stories of thanking him on his account.
Grammy Award winner has recently released her new single Enough Miami on 15 March.
