Meghan Markle, in a rare instance, is opening up about her and Prince Harry’s two kids, Archie and Lilibet and what motherhood is like for her.
The Duchess of Sussex, sat down for a panel discussion on women in leadership on Saturday, May 11, in Nigeria, where she shared how important being a mother is to her.
As per People, Meghan dived into the discussion by recalling a conversation she once had with NBCUniversal Vice Chairman Bonnie Hammer about motherhood and ‘finding your balance’.
“I asked her that exact question. I said, ‘How do you find the balance?’ And she said, ‘You don’t, you’ll never find the balance. And this was before I was married. This was before I had children… What I think that means now is that that balance will always change for you.”
Meghan then revealed, “What seems balanced 10 years ago is going to shift, and so being a mom has always been a dream of mine and I’m so fortunate that we have two beautiful, healthy, very chatty, sweet children, I love being a mom.”
She also made a rare comment about Lilibet during a visit to the Lightway Academy School, where she shared, “Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys. She’s about to turn three, and a few weeks ago she looked at me and she would just see the reflection in my eyes. And she goes, ‘Mama, I see me in you.’”
Meghan and Harry, who tied the knot in 2018, share two kids, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, who will turn 3 next month.
