Comedian Dane Cook has shared his experience of The Greatest Roast of Tom Brady in his TikTok video which has garnered more than 3 million views.
After attending the roast in Los Angeles on May 5, Dane Cook took to TikTok to praise his fellow comedians who participated in the event, including Nikki Glaser and host Kevin Hart.
He noted, “Across the board, everybody brought the house down, I’ve never seen so many people at a roast, and I’ve never seen so many roasters crush [it] I thought every single person on the roast seriously did great.”
However, Cook criticized Ben Affleck, who delivered a poor rant during the roast, in which he roasted social media users who called out Tom Brady.
Cook expressed, “Put this rumor to rest first. Ben Affleck didn’t bomb because Ben Affleck was not funny.”
“Ben Affleck’s hilarious, We’ve seen him on late-night talk shows, the Dunkin’ commercial, and stuff like that. He could be funny,” he added.
The Good Luck Chuck actor further noted, “He decided to deliver a monologue that just..it didn’t work. He was tied into it for about four to five minutes, and about 40 seconds in it was clear it just wasn’t the right choice.”
Dane Cook concluded his video by suggesting that Affleck should have gracefully ended his roast once he sensed the audience wasn't enjoying the rant.
