Adam Sandler will be finally returning into the shoes of his leading character from the comedy sport, Happy Gilmore, as Netflix has confirmed its sequel.
Announcement for the same was officially made by the streaming website on Wednesday, May 15, as reported by Variety.
Released in 1996, this film was co-written by Adam Sandler himself and remains popularly quoted among his best works to date.
The actor had portrayed the role of an aspiring hockey player, who struggled to grapple with anger plus management issues, and in doing so, pulled off some scenes that had sent audiences laughing.
This character in question had the same name as the movie’s title.
He aimed to make money for offloading a burdensome debt on his grandmother’s house, so he began playing golf to earn some easy cash, but it soon turned out that the job wasn’t as quick at all.
Christopher McDonald, who had played the negative part in Happy Gilmore, revealed about Adam Sandler showing him the first script draft in March, which was when buzz related to the second instalment started spinning.
Although nothing had been confirmed back then, things have been formally made public now.
