King Charles ‘positive’ about future despite health scare

King Charles is determined to have a full calendar this summer despite his health issues with cancer

King Charles is ‘incredibly positive’ about the future with a packed schedule despite his health taking a downturn in the last few months, sources suggest.

The 75-year-old monarch was diagnosed with cancer in February this year, forcing him to take a break from royal duties. However, he is now ramping up his diary for the summer to ‘make up for lost time’.

After King Charles returned to bestow royal investitures earlier this week, a royal insider told Mirror UK: “The King is in great spirits and as full of positivity as I’ve ever seen him.”

“He’s already told aides he is absolutely determined to make several dates in the summer months, including the D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations and attend Trooping the Colour (to mark the monarch’s birthday on June 15) which is wonderful news.”

The source further shared: “There’s certainly a feeling that he wants to make up for lost time.”

King Charles also attended the Service of Dedication for the Order of the British Empire, at St Paul's Cathedral in London, this week with wife Queen Camilla.
