Britney Spears has allegedly chased her ex-partner Sam Asghari with an axe during a heated argument that marked her final straw in a tumultuous relationship.
As per a source cited in In Touch Weekly, Asghari experienced the stress of the Toxic singer's newfound freedom after her conservatorship ended in 2021 and disclosed the final incident that led to their separation.
“Unfortunately, when she was free of her conservatorship, Sam got the worst of it. One of the last straws for Sam, there were many, Britney chased him with an axe,” the insider said.
They added, “It was during one of their epic fights and Sam couldn’t control her or talk her down. Sam is not a confrontational person and he doesn’t like arguing. There was nothing he could do to calm her down this time.”
As per a source Asghari and Spears' argument escalated to the point where the fitness trainer had to "depart" their home in Los Angeles.
“The ‘axe incident’ definitely occurred when she was off her meds,” the insider added, “Talk of another conservatorship makes complete sense.”
Asghsri and Spears got married in June 2022 and Asghari filed for divorce on August 17, 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.
