Meghan Markle is reportedly ‘in tears’ after the reveal of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, was heavily criticised and failed to make a mark.
The Duchess of Sussex teased American Riviera Orchard in March this year; the brand carries jams, preserves, oils, nut butters, and other homewares.
Following social media buzz over the launch, the brand has failed to generate any interest, especially with Meghan yet to announce an official launch date, and now, royal expert Tom Quinn thinks that she may be ‘upset’ over the response.
Talking to The Daily Mirror, Quinn said: “The one fly in the ointment is Meghan's new internet brand, America Riviera Orchard.”
“Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jam was widely mocked for being expensive and nothing special," he stated.
Quinn then added: “She has reached the point now where she thinks that anything and everything that she does will be unfairly criticised.”
“Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her - she cannot understand why people don't admire her work.”
Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard is expected to formally launch sometime later this year; last month, friends of the Duchess took to social media to share photos of a PR package from her containing some jams.
