Prince Harry may be sabotaging his own family ties as he follows his wife Meghan Markle’s lead, a former royal aide has hinted.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped away from the royals in 2020 and have since distanced themselves even more; Harry did not even meet his father King Charles while in the UK earlier this month, sparking further concern.
Talking about this ‘estrangement’, Paul Burrell, who served as Harry’s late mum Princess Diana’s butler, said that it is very much Harry and Meghan both against their families now.
Burrell told Heat: “Harry’s now in the same position Meghan is in – estranged from his family. They’re truly in this together, and it’s them against everyone else.”
“His attitude is it’s us against the world. Harry has never even met Meghan’s father, and now Meghan doesn’t see Harry’s family. They can share in these woes,” Burrell added.
This comes amid reports that Prince Harry and Meghan will skip the wedding of their son Archie’s godfather, Hugh Grosvenor; this has once again sparked concern that Harry is being isolated from his family and friends.
