Cassie has finally spoken up on the bombshell 2016 video where ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had been recorded beating her brutally.
She chose Instagram as her reaction space on Thursday, May 23, by posting a message full of digital hugs for everyone who held the singer up during this tough time.
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to feel safe now,” she wrote.
Cassie added, “But this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.”
Without taking any names here, she clearly referred to the “merciless assault” that unfortunately took place in the hallway of a hotel situated in Los Angeles, as per TMZ.
Diddy had pre-planned hiding his foul ups with such clarity that he had made Cassie sign an NDA, which restricts her from mentioning his name in public.
The vocalist went on, “With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time.”
“I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone,” she concluded.
