‘Bachelorette’ star Trista Sutter clarifies husband Ryan's mysterious posts: ‘I’m safe and sound’

Trista Sutter has spoken out after her husband, Ryan Sutter, shared a series of mysterious posts on Instagram that caused concern about Trista’s well-being among fans.

The Bachelorette alum took to her Instagram account on Saturday May, 25, to share her family photo on the beach in Mexico.

She accompanied her post with a long caption to set the record straight about her wellbeing.

Trista penned, "Geez people. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace around here?! (along with laughing emojis)"

"In all seriousness, for those concerned, I’m safe and sound, happy and healthy, in love and grateful,” she clarified.

She went on to slam haters, noting, "For those who’d rather focus on being critical and searching way too hard for darkness, good luck with that.”

Further she explained her husband’s post, noting, "My stoic husband, who usually chooses privacy over posting, decided to share his love for me in messages that would find me in my travels."

"We look at Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay too much attention. This time, he couldn’t say anything right and just about every news outlet picked up his cryptic/confusing/attention-seeking/dramatic' pictures and captions," she added.

Trista Sutter wrapped up her caption by emphasizing that her husband doesn't owe anyone an explanation for his posts. She teased that she'll share more of the story later, but for now, she's focusing on her relaxation time in Mexico.

With a hint of humor, she noted "After all, nervous breakdowns and separations require much needed rest and relaxation.”

Trista and Ryan Sutter, who got engaged on the first season of The Bachelorette, tied the knot on December 6, 2003.

Their wedding was broadcast on TV in a three-episode special called Trista & Ryan’s Wedding.
