Tina Knowles recalls her daughter, Beyoncé, getting “bullied” in childhood.
Tina gets candid about her daughter’s childhood memories during a dialogue with Vogue.
She posted a video clip on her Instagram of the interview, in which she can be heard saying, “Beyoncé, she was very shy and she got bullied a bit but the day that she stood up for someone — she didn’t stand up for herself she stood up for them.”
The 70-year old businesswoman added, “I’m getting emotional talking about it. I was just, I couldn't have been more proud of her.”
In the same conversation, she also got candid about her daughter Solange, whom she shared with ex-husband Mathew Knowles.
“Solange, was her signing a petition in school, she was only in like fifth grade and she was out getting petitions signed,” Tina continued, “So she’s always been an activist.”
The fashion designer captioned the clip, “Each child is different! But all so special. I believe kids are born with their personalities. My three girls All handled things very differently.”
