YouTube introduces its new ‘Playables’ games for users
YouTube users can play over 75 games directly on the app

YouTube has ruled out its new Playable games for its mobile and desktop users.

As per The Verge report, YouTube's website, Android and iOS can now play over 75 games on Playables.

Users can choose from crossword games and chess to more popular games like Trivia Crack, Angry Birds Showdown!, and Cut the Rope.

To play these games, users can simply visit the website or App and look for Playables in the sidebar. Social media also allows users to keep track of high scores and save their progress.

YouTube began its foray into gaming last year when it offered its new addition of Playables exclusively only for its Premium subscribers.

Initially, there were very limited options for games, and it was introduced for a very short period of time as the phase that ended in March of this year. However, this time all users can enjoy playing games.

Offering a slate of casual games has become one of the most popular that tech companies use to attract and maintain their subscribers.

The other companies that have introduced gaming that is pretty entertaining include Netflix, LinkedIn, The New York Times and Hearst.

YouTube's parent company also in the past tried its hand at gaming in 2019, and after more than three years, Google shut down Stadia in 2023.
