Andrew Garfield’s girlfriend Kate Tomas broke silence on public’s reaction over her romance with The Amazing Spider-Man actor.
During an interview with the Sunday Times, the self-proclaimed “professional witch” and “spiritual mentor” — who has been divorced four times before dating Garfield expressed her anger over public’s brutal reaction to her relationship with the actor.
“It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man,” Tomas said.
“I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow,” she added.
While discussing the scrutiny she has to go through because of her lovelife, she noted, “They [the paps] will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst.”
This is not the first time Kate Tomas has addressed the matter of being accused using magic spells to win Garfield over and being beauty shamed by women online, she previously spoke about the issue on her podcast The Friday Emails.
“F–king hell, nothing could prepare me for having literally thousands of women telling me I’m ugly, I’m unattractive, I’m less than in every conceivable way,” she said.
Tomas also revealed that she stopped offering the seduction how-to after "horrific accusations that were levelled at me that I'd used magic to seduce my partner".
For the unversed, Garfield and Tomas’ relationship was confirmed in April when the two were spotted holding hands during a double date in Malibu, California, with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham
