Queen Camilla has a favorite role model pick from the royal clan, and it’s not King Charles!
Sure, she’s hailed as the coolest royal consort, who acts like a true support system for Your Majesty, both in public and during the madness they face on privately.
But even before being upgraded to a queen, the Monarch’s wife had looked over to her late father-in-law for inspiration.
In honor of Queen Camilla’s recently celebrated 77th birthday, her friend Gyles Brandreth told Hello Magazine that the Duke of Edinburg, Prince Philip, was Her Majesty’s role model.
The close pal said, “A couple of years ago, I hosted a lunch for Queen Camilla’s 75th birthday. She made a good speech about her role in the future. She was going to use Prince Philip as her role model.”
“She quoted his mantra, which was simply: 'Look up, look out, say less, do more, get on with the job,' ” he added.
Well, so far into her role as King Charles’ close aide, his wife has been seemingly following this quote by heart.
Like Prince Philip, Queen Camilla loves cracking jokes, doesn’t take anything too seriously, and just moves on with life like a “cool cucumber.”
