Breaking the news via its official Instagram handle on Tuesday, July 23, the renowned American streaming service shared a video that unveiled Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson), seizing the spotlight in the upcoming sequel.
Revealing the name, the caption read, "Welcome to the marriage mart mr. Bridgerton. Benedict's story is coming next season."
The highly anticipated teaser saw the second Bridgerton son taking the lead; however, the platform did not reveal anything regarding Sophie Beckett's return in the forthcoming follow-up.
Bridgerton's ardent fans couldn't contain their excitement and soon reached the comment section to express their views and love.
"Best announcement ever. I am screaming my lungs out!" wrote a fan, while another penned, "Finally, Ben season."
The third admirer commented, "Benedict is finally getting his time. I might have to watch it again. So excited."
