Marvel fans have been speculating about the possible return of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and Chris Evans' Captain America to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since their emotional farewells in Avengers: Endgame.

Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has addressed the topic, leaving room for possibility.

In a recent interview with Discussing Films, When Feige was asked about the possibility of Downey Jr. and Evans reprising their iconic roles, he showed ray of hope about their comeback.

“That’s the key, right? How do you do it in a way that maintains what has come before, and in a great way?” Feige said, emphasizing the importance of handling such comebacks with care.

He further drew parallels with Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine in the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, stating, “And we’ve been spending, you know, the last two-plus years figuring that out for Wolverine.”

“So, what’s to come? We’ll see. We’re just proud that we, I think, have figured it out for Wolverine. I think Hugh’s appearance and starring role in [Deadpool & Wolverine] is a great sign that it can be done — if great care is taken,” he added.

While Feige's statements do not confirm the return of Downey Jr. and Evans, they certainly leave room for possibility.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, marking the third installment in the Deadpool series.
