‘Trap’ star Josh Hartnett talks work-life balance after welcoming fourth baby

Josh Hartnett starrer ‘Trap’ will be released on August 2, 2024

Josh Hartnett is delighted by the new addition to the family of 5!

The Oppenheimer star, who quietly welcomed his fourth child with wife, Tamsin Egerton, talked about his approach to achieving a harmonious personal and professional life balance while conversing with PEOPLE Magazine.

"Well, I mean, we've done it a couple of times now. It's never easy. The newborn needs what the newborn needs. But yeah, you know, it's fun,” said the actor at his upcoming movie Trap’s premiere on Wednesday, July 24.

Five months after announcing the arrival of their fourth baby, the Paradise Lost actor noted, "We have so much fun with our kids, so to be able to have that when I get off set, especially on something like this, is a dream come true. You need it.”

"You need it in order to take this stuff out of your bed,” he added.

The actor also shared that his wife, who joined him at the event, continues to prioritize date nights together.

"We don't usually do this. We usually have fewer people looking at us when we're going on a date night. But we, you know, we'll say this is pretty; this is up there as far as like fun day nights go,” mentioned Hartnett.

Thrilled about his wife’s reaction to the movie, he expressed, “She's never seen the movie, so I'm excited to see what her reaction is."

The upcoming psychological thriller features an ensemble cast that includes Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, and Saleka Shyamalan.

Trap will run in theaters on August 2, 2024.
