Ice Spice is flashing back to Matty Healy’s hurtful racial remarks!

During an interview with Rolling Stone for a new cover story, the Pretty Girl rapper reflected on the podcast controversy where the 1975 frontman laughed at the host’s racially insensitive jokes about her at the Adam Friedland Show podcast.

The host mocked that Spice, who is of Dominican descent, was an “inuit spice girl and imitated Chinese and Hawaiian accents.”

The rapper revealed that since the incident, Healy has “apologized multiple times” to her for his actions.

“I actually was late as f--- to that. I didn’t know about it until like a month after or something like that,” said the Did It First rapper.

“He apologized multiple times, but I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was to other people. I feel like people just wanted something to be mad about, I guess. I wasn’t angry or sad or anything. I was just kind of confused. I never really cared about that,” she further added.

During the cover story interview, Spice disclosed that she still is a “huge fan” of the band and continues to listen to the 1975.

In a concert in New Zealand back in April 2023, Healy issued a public apology to the rapper on stage and told the audience that he “never meant to hurt anybody.”

"Sorry if I've offended you. Ice Spice, I'm sorry. It's not because I'm annoyed that my joke got misconstrued. I love you Ice Spice…. It's OK for me to be like, a trickster or whatever, but I don't want to be perceived as mean-hearted,” said the singer.

He continued to add, “We all get it wrong. But I am genuinely sorry if I upset her 'cause I f---ing love her."

Ice Spice told the outlet that Healy apologized to her a “bunch of times. We’re good.”

The rapper’s latest album, Y2K, is slated to release on Friday, July 26, 2024.
