Britney Spears and Halsey have put to rest all rumors of a feud after Spears initially called out Halsey over her new Lucky music video.

Spears posted a since-deleted message on X (formerly Twitter) stating,” "For obvious reasons I'm very upset about the Halsey video.”

"I feel harassed, violated, and bullied. I didn't know an artist like her and someone I looked up to and admired would illustrate me in such an ignorant way by tailoring me as a superficial pop star with no heart or concern at all,” she noted in her since-deleted post.

Spears continued, "I'm speaking with my lawyers today to see what can be done on this matter. It feels illegal and down right cruel."

However, Spears quickly deleted the post, claiming that it was fake news" and not written by her.

"I love Halsey and that's why I deleted it !!!" she wrote in a follow-up post.

Halsey also responded with a heartfelt message, saying "I love Britney!!!! I always have and always will... you were the first person who ever made me realize what it means to feel inspired. And you continue to inspire me every day."

The controversy surrounded Halsey's music video, which features her navigating the complexities of fame, similar to Spears' original Lucky video.

Halsey had previously shared that Spears gave her "blessing" for the track.
