Lady Gaga has issued a statement looking back at her fresh Olympics Ceremony performance, which was plagued with sound issues as well as a backing dancer slipping on-stage!

Hopping on social media X, she expressed, “I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris Olympics 2024 this year.”

“We rented pompoms from Le Lido archive – a real French cabaret theatre. We collaborated with Dior to create custom costumes,” she went on to detail the extensive preparation.

Then, the singer revealed of learning how the folks in France dance just for pulling off Mon Truc en Plume, which happens to be a circus song.

She wrote, “I studied French choreography that put a modern twist on a French classic. I rehearsed tirelessly to study a joyful French dance, brushing up on some old skills.”

It’s after revealing this that Lady Gaga gave a quick wink to The Hunger Games by wishing all athletes the very best and adding, “Let the Games begin.”

But she didn’t address the incident when a male background bopper fell backwards and landed straight on the floor, then got back up to resume his steps, according to a footage captured by BBC.

Because of that mishap, sound-sync problems, and the performance build-up, Lady Gaga’s opening gig has been dubbed an “underwhelming” show as per Olympics standard.
