Zara Tindall has been hit with a significant career setback that could alter her professional trajectory as she will not participate in the Paris Olympics 2024.

It is confirmed that the daughter of Princess Anne will not be competing as an equestrian at the upcoming Paris Olympics.

The mother-of-three was given a silver medal in team eventing by her mother, Princess Royal, during the 2012 London Olympics.

Zara, who has not yet won a gold medal, revealed to Vogue Australia in 2022 that she was training to earn a seat in the Paris 2024 squad.

"Tindall is back in training and working on having the right horse for a run at the 2024 Olympics in Paris,” reported by reporter Matthew Benns, who spoke with Zara.

Benns further noted, "She has fewer horses than in 2012 and now has to fit her training in around a busy schedule as a mother of three. She says having horses in stables at home makes things easier."

The journalist added, "Her round at Gatcombe gave both her and the horse a 'good education'."

Despite qualifying for the Rio Olympics in 2016, Zara's horse's condition continued to be an issue, and ultimately she was left off the final roster.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Zara was unable to attend the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in favour of giving birth to her third child, Lucas Tindall, in 2021.

Zara's parents are both past Olympians and highly skilled riders. Princess Anne broke her vertebrae after falling off her horse Goodwill during an Olympic competition in 1976 in Montreal.
