Simone Biles made an impressive comeback at the Paris Games on Sunday, July 28, showcasing her resilience and skill.

After a challenging Tokyo Games where she withdrew due to a mental block, the 27-year-old, returned with determination, advancing to the finals in all four individual gymnastics events.

Despite a minor left calf injury sustained during warm-ups, Biles led the US team to first place in their qualifying session.

Biles' leg was taped, but she still achieved the highest score on the floor (14.6) and finished first on the vault.

In Tokyo, Biles withdrew from most events after becoming disoriented during a vault.

However, in Paris, she delivered a strong performance, ensuring her place in the all-around final.

Meanwhile, Sunisa Lee, the all-around champion from Tokyo, ranked second, making her the other American entrant in the final while Jordan Chiles was third but did not advance due to the two-athlete-per-country rule.

After Tokyo, Biles considered quitting gymnastics due to pressure and criticism but continued with weekly therapy sessions. Now, she feels ready and confident.

The team final is scheduled for Tuesday, followed by finals in the all-around, vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
