House of the Dragon season 2, which kept the tradition of hooking audiences to it throughout its run, has now been spoiled after the finale leaked ahead of its release on August 4
Now HBO is scrambling to contain leaks of the highly anticipated season 2 finale of House of the Dragon, an HBO spokesperson revealed in a statement which is obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
“We are aware that clips from the House of the Dragon season finale have surfaced across social media platforms," they said.
The spokesperson went on to share, "The clips were posted after an unintentional release from an international third-party distributor.
“HBO is aggressively monitoring and removing clips from the internet, and fans can watch the episode in its entirety this Sunday night on HBO and Max,” they added.
To note, on Tuesday, clips from the upcoming episode began circulating on TikTok, just days before the official broadcast on Sunday.
This is not the first time HBO has faced leaks of its popular shows.
Similar incidents occurred prior to the season 2 trailer and the season 1 finale of House of the Dragon, as well as during the run of the original Game of Thrones series.
House of the Dragon Season 2 premiered on June 16.
