Madrid has ordered rental e-scooter companies to remove their scooters from the streets until October 25.

This order has come after multiple complaints about dangerous driving and unorganized parking by their users.

The mayor’s office said that three major companies, Lime, Dott and Tier Mobility, had failed to impose restrictions on their customer’s usage.

The company Dott is based in Amsterdam, Tier Mobility is German-based company, meanwhile Lime is based in the US.

Their scooters are available via Uber, and each company has around 2,000 scooters.

Lime and Dott claimed that they have not received any official notification regarding this.

Meanwhile, Lime assured that they will follow rules once they get notification.

While, Dott emphasised that when they receive the notification, they will consider legal and operational action.

However, Tier didn’t make any comment on this order.
