Taylor Swift has decided to take legal action against a student over "personal safety" concerns.
As per Touch magazine, a college student named Jack Sweeney has been tracking the pop star’s private jet publicly. He runs a social media page that shows Taylor's private jet's routes amid controversy about her CO2 footprint.
Back in December 2023, Taylor’s lawyer Katie Wright Morrone sent out a notice letter to the student.
However, Jack's family has recently gone public about the letter and exclusively shared it with The Washington Post.
Her lawyer said in the notice that they would “have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies” if Jack didn’t stop his “stalking and harassing behaviour.”
As per the letter, the social media posts were causing “direct and irreparable harm, as well as emotional and physical distress” which makes Taylor stay in “constant state of fear for her personal safety.”
The official document also stated that there was “no legitimate interest in or public need for this information, other than to stalk, harass, and exert dominion and control.”
It is pertinent to note that Taylor’s 2024 trips have emitted 1,200 tons of carbon dioxide, as per The Tennessean.
