Prince William took the spotlight as he mingled with different stars at a BAFTA event today, on October 9.
Per People Magazine, he represented two of his countless patronages for a rare crossover occasion jointly hosted by BAFTA and the Royal African Society in London.
The Prince of Wales chatted with Celia Imrie, Andy Serkis, Stephen Merchant, and other filmmakers as he went on to salute the people who bring reality and fiction to theatres.
In his speech, Prince William said, “It’s wonderful for me to be here to celebrate the work you are doing to champion the arts and creativity. The screen arts are such an important part of our lives.”
“As President of BAFTA, I am very proud to be involved with an organization that is dedicated to breaking down barriers for the storytellers of the future... It’s fantastic,” he added.
Encouraging his guests to keep bringing engrossing tales to the public, the Prince of Wales noted that he’ll be following their careers.
At the function, he had a meet-and-greet session with the 2024 recipients of the BAFTA Bursary fund who are being supported by the Royal African Society.
Prince William interacted with candidates ranging from disciplines of production, costumes, writing, designing, sound training, and more.
