American actor Adam Brody is celebrating his 45th birthday today, December 15, 2024.

The Mr. and Mrs. Smith actor who earlier this year made his and Nobody Wants This fans happy by announcing that the shoot for the second season of the romantic comedy series will begin in February 2025 recently got together with Erin Foster in a Zoom interview with Deadline.

During an interview, Brody praised his co-star Kristen Bell and revealed the reason why he said “yes” to the rom-com Netflix season Nobody Wants This.

He said, “I first heard about it as back channels coming through from Kristen, and that was very enticing. I’ve worked with her before. I’ve had very great experiences with her. She’s a real light. Then I was curious to read, but I thought, “Oh wow, we would make a great pair, and a romantic comedy in LA sounds lovely.” Then when the script, months later, finally came to me, I was immediately charmed.”

“I loved the misfit of him being a rabbi. It starts, and you don’t think he’s a rabbi. Then the audience finds out when she does that he’s a rabbi as he’s exhaling pot smoke. That’s such a trailer moment. It’s such a fun thing to do, and I thought, on one hand, the religious aspect of it, to me, I was more unsure of. Angelenos and dating, no problem, I can do that, but then very quickly, I was like, maybe I’ll underplay the religious aspect,” he continued.

The Shazam star asserted that after a moment he realised, “No, that’s what makes this different. That’s what makes it fun. That’s what makes it interesting. It’ll be a whole lot of, 3000 years of history and culture to sink my teeth into.”

Brody also believes that this is the main reason that made his character “extra” and what made him excited.
